ANNUAL FRIENDS OF MIDDLESEX CHARITY GOLF CLASSIC*

The Friends of Middlesex County Charity Golf Inc.'s Annual Golf Tournament is held in the fall at Tamarack Golf Course.  This year’s event was held on Wednesday, September 21, 2011.

The Charity Golf Classic attracted almost 300 golfers and raised $22,000 that was distributed to 3 organizations.  $15,000 was donated to the Children’s Center of the Cerebral Palsy Association of Middlesex County.  The Association is using the proceeds towards the operation of the Children’s Center Facility that is serving a vast majority of Middlesex County residents. $5,000 was used towards a holiday party at Roosevelt Care Center, and $2,000 was donated to First Tee of Raritan Valley for life skills programs for Middlesex County children 5-15 years of age.

The great success of this charity tournament is due to the tremendous response from many concerned businesses and individuals who joined together to make this a most enjoyable outing, while maintaining the emphasis on raising money to benefit needy Middlesex County residents.
