While the MCIA operates the county-wide curbside collection recycling program, each participating municipality has its own recycling coordinator and collection schedule.

Each municipality also makes its own arrangements for the pick up of other materials, such as leaves, brush and white goods/appliances. Many towns operate special drop off centers which accept items collected curbside and other materials. Some municipalities impose additional restrictions on disposal.
