Recycling collection holidays for 2008: New Year's Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving and Christmas.

If your collection day falls on any of these holidays, collection is rescheduled for the following Saturday.
Note: Municipal Public Works holidays do NOT affect the recycling collection schedule.

Weather Emergencies
Changes in collection schedules due to weather emergencies or other emergency situations will be announced on the following radio stations: WCTC (1450 AM) and WMGQ (98.3 FM). You may also check for changes on the web site at www.mciauth.com or by calling (800) 488-MCIA (6242) for specific information.

Special Items
Jamesburg's Recycling Drop-Off Center is located at the Municipal Garage on Duane Street. Hours of operation are Wednesday, 7 a.m. - 3 p.m., Saturday, 8 a.m. - 12 noon. The Jamesburg Recycling Center accepts all recyclables collected curbside, as well as used residential motor oil (up to 5 gallons) and grass. No plastic bags in Dumpster. Household garbage is NOT accepted.

White Goods/Appliances are collected on Thursdays. Residents at Beaver Brook and Quarry Cove must call for an appointment.

Leaves & Brush
Leaves are are collected curbside beginning October 27, 2008, through January 9, 2009. Rake loose leaves to the curb, no closer than 10 feet from any strom drain inlet, during the 7 days prior to your area's scheduled collection date, or place at the curb in biodegradable bags ONLY. These bagged leaves will be picked up every other Sunday. Biodegradable bags are available at area hardware stores. Call (732) 521-3335 for schedule information.
PLEASE NOTE: Leaves in plastic bags will not be picked up.

Brush will be picked up twice a year: April 7 - April 11, 2008, and October 6 - October 10, 2008. Brush and logs less than 6 inches in diameter should be tied into 2-foot by 4-foot bundles. Brush and logs accumulated after the pickup period may be delivered to the Borough Recycling Center. Delivered brush will be chipped on-site. Chips will be available to Jamesburg residents.

Christmas trees will be picked up curbside from January 7 - 11, 2008. Trees must be free of lights and may not be wrapped in plastic. No stands attached.
