MCIA COMMUNITY INVOLVEMENT

ANNUAL FRIENDS OF MIDDLESEX CHARITY GOLF CLASSIC
The MCIA’s Annual Golf Tournament is held in the fall at Tamarack Golf Course.  The last annual Middlesex County Charity Golf Classic, held on September 26, 2007, at Tamarack Golf Course attracted almost 300 golfers and raised $20,000 that was distributed to 2 organizations.

$15,000 was donated to the Children’s Center of the Cerebral Palsy Association of Middlesex County.  The Association is using the proceeds towards the operation of the recently constructed Children’s Center Facility that is serving a vast majority of Middlesex County residents.  $5,000 will be used towards a holiday party at Roosevelt Care Center.

The great success of this charity tournament is due to the tremendous response from many concerned businesses and individuals including our main sponsor, 1st Constitution Bank, who joined together to make this a most enjoyable outing, while maintaining the emphasis on raising money to benefit needy Middlesex County residents.  The Golf Classic remains the only fund raising event held at Tamarack Golf Course.

The date for the 2008 tournament is Wednesday, September 24, 2008. For more information about the outing, call the MCIA at (609) 655-5141, or e-mail us.
