Tee Time Made Simple
May 1, 2007 -- Thinking about playing 18 holes?
Why not log onto the Middlesex County Improvement Authority website or call its telephone reservation line and reserve a spot at one of three Middlesex courses: Tamarack Golf Course, The Meadows at Middlesex Golf Course, and Raritan Landing Golf Course.
With a new tee-time reservation system, golfers can go directly to the MCIA website, www.mciauth.com, to reserve a date and time. Golfers also have a new phone number to call for reservations: (732) 745-3411.
"Like the previous system, this new system is operated on a first-come, first-served basis," said MCIA Executive Director Richard Pucci. "We are committed to the golfers who enjoy our courses, and strive to provide a system that is user-friendly and equitable."
Registered golfers who wish to reserve a spot at one of our three courses can do so 5 1/2 days in advance. For example, reservations for Saturday can start to be made at 9 p.m. the previous Sunday. During the first hour, 9 to 10 p.m., reservations will only be accepted by phone. At all other times, golfers can book a tee time by phone and on the Internet. Reservations can be made for two, three or four people. Singles will be assigned an open slot with a previously-booked twosome or threesome.
The new system is designed by Chelsea Information Systems, Inc., based in Coral Springs, FL. The company provides reservation systems and service to more than 1 million customers. In addition to tee-time reservations, the Chelsea software provides a complete point of sale system to track sales and issue reports.
Network maintenance is carried out by the Middlesex County Department of Information Technology.
