Meadows at Middlesex Voted One of Central Jersey's Best
November 09, 2007
--Middlesex County’s Meadows at Middlesex Golf Course was voted as “One of the Best in Central Jersey” by the readers of a daily newspaper circulated throughout the area.
The 18-hole, par-70 championship course located in Plainsboro received a 2007 Home News Tribune Readers’ Choice Award. The course is operated by the Middlesex County Improvement Authority (MCIA).
“This award is especially important to us because it is voted upon by our residents, the very people we hope to serve,” said Leonard J. Roseman, MCIA chairman. “It is our mission to provide quality services and programs at minimal costs to our residents. I believe the Meadows at Middlesex, the two courses at Tamarack in East Brunswick and the course at Raritan Landing in Piscataway help us reach that goal, and area golfers who voted agree.”
The course, designed by Joe Finger in 1972 and finished in 1980 by Tom Fazio, is popular with individuals, leagues and for outings hosted by charitable and corporate groups. Per-golfer outing rates of $50, which covers greens fees and the use of an electric cart, place the Meadows at Middlesex among the most reasonable courses for outings in the area.
All Middlesex County golf courses are open from dawn to dusk, seven days a week, year round, except Christmas Day and New Year’s Day. Greens fees vary. Visa and MasterCard are accepted.
