Get Into The Swing Of Things At County's Four Courses

March 31, 2006 – Grab your clubs and head to one of Middlesex County’s four public courses for great golf at reasonable rates.

Among the best buys are weekday and weekend greens fees at the Meadows at Middlesex in Plainsboro. This year, registered county residents will pay $20 for weekday play at The Meadows and $30 for weekend play.

Also new this year are Weekend Twilight Rates. From 4:01 p.m. to dusk, golfers can play for Weekday Rates at all four courses.

The Middlesex County Improvement Authority owns and operates the County’s two courses at Tamarack in East Brunswick and The Meadows at Middlesex and Raritan Landing in Piscataway.

“The 2006 rates at Middlesex County’s four public courses reflect the MCIA’s commitment to offer residents quality services at low costs,” said MCIA Chairman Leonard J. Roseman. “We are proud to offer a quality golf experience close to home.”

The Meadows continues to offer some of the lowest rates in the area for golf outings, charging just $50 per golfer for 18 holes of play and an electric cart. For outing information, call 609-799-4000.

Greens fees vary from course to course and depend on the age and residency of each golfer. Also, registered golfers pay lower greens fees than nonregistered golfers in the same age category.

All courses are open dawn to dusk, seven days a week year-round. For more information, call Tamarack at 732-821-8881; The Meadows at 609-799-4000 or Raritan Landing at 732-885-9600.
