Tamarack features two 18-hole championship golf courses in East Brunswick, which were designed by Hal Purdy. The East (Gold and Blue) course is a 6,226-yard, par-71 course and the West (Red and White) course is a 7,025-yard, par-72 course. Tamarack has locker rooms and electric carts. The driving range features 34 stalls and five target greens.
What Are They Saying About
The New Jersey State Golf Association rated Tamarack as the second most-difficult course in Middlesex, Monmouth, Mercer, Somerset and Union Counties. The Home News Tribune readers rated Tamarack as the best golf course in Central Jersey.
Tamarack is the home course for many Middlesex County high school golf teams. First Tee of Raritan Valley holds clinics and camps at Tamarack for youth 5-18 years of age, teaching life skills through the game of golf.
Tamarack Ladies Nine-Hole Golf Association:
This group is welcoming new members for a friendly nine-hole round (an 18-hole option available as well) of golf on Thursday mornings from the first week in April through the last week in October. Interested parties are invited to join the group and attend an organizational meeting for the 2016 golf season on March 31, at 10 a.m. at the VW Post 133, 485 Cranbury Road in East Brunswick. From the North:
From the New Jersey Turnpike South: Take exit 9 and stay to the left to get on Rt. 18 South. Make a right on Cranbury Rd., then bear right at 2nd light onto Dunhams Corner Rd. Take Dunhams Corner Rd. to Hardenburg Lane and make a right. Golf course is on the left.
From Rt. 1 South: Get off at the 2nd Milltown exit and take Main Street through the 1st traffic light to Riva Ave. Make a right at Riva Ave. and follow to the traffic light at the intersection of Hardenburg Lane. Make a left. Golf course is on the right.
From the Garden State Parkway South or Rt. 287: Proceed to the NJ Turnpike South and follow the above directions.
From the South:
From the New Jersey Turnpike North: Take Exit 8A. Stay to the right after the toll booth, then make a right at the next light, which is Rt. 535 North. Proceed on Rt. 535 North to the traffic light at Dunhams Corner Road, make a left and follow to Hardenburg Lane. Make a left. Golf course is on the left.
From Rt. 130 North: At Fresh Ponds Road, make a right and follow to Hardenburg Lane. Make a right. Golf course is on the right.
From Rt. 18 North: Take Rues Lane exit (around jughandle.) Road turns into Ryders Lane. Take Ryders Lane to Dunhams Corner Rd., make a left and follow to Hardenburg Lane, Make a right. Golf course will be on the left.
From Garden State Parkway North: Take exit 105 to Rt. 18 North and follow the above directions.
